Baby Forrest

And here's why I love in-home sessions.

I know Kirsten from my previous life as a designer, so I was so excited when she told me they were expecting baby #2. I already had the privilege of photographing Genevieve on her first birthday, and the whole family last fall. But when I walked into their home to photograph baby Forrest, I knew it would be a great session. Of course, it helps that they have a gorgeous home and an adorable dog Archie.

Per any lifestyle newborn session, I started with the nursery, details, and even the vintage bassinet in their bedroom (that was passed passed down for generations). From there, we wrapped Forrest up in his blankets, on their bed, in their home. He was WIDE awake for most of the session, but super calm. I think we finally exhausted him by the end of the session because he later passed out right as I was about to leave.

I hope you enjoy. Make sure to at least scroll down to the photos of Genevieve, who wanted nothing more than to hold him and kiss his forehead. <3
